Every year, more than 250 volunteers help 5Cities Homeless Coalition transform the lives of families and individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in southern SLO County.
Some 100 of those volunteers provide thousands of hours of service to the Coalitions’ Winter Warming Center, which so far during the 2018-19 season has been open more than 50 nights. Center staff and volunteers have provided more than 1,200 shelter nights and 2,500 meals to more than 130 different individuals.
The Coalition’s mission to help those who are homeless or facing homelessness incorporates three pillars: resources, support and hope. Each is key to improving the personal well-being of our clients as well as strengthening our broader community.
Donate NowThrough collaboration and leadership, we are building an engaged community that fully understands the complexities of homelessness and actively shares the responsibility of creating and implementing solutions to reduce it.
